I offer bespoke, tailored training in a range of areas including marketing, audience development, evaluation, and research. I also run training for freelancers through the Museum Freelance Network.
The team at Leeds Libraries have an amazing cultural programme, but they needed help in understanding how to reach new audiences. I designed and delivered bespoke training workshops to increase their confidence and skill set in marketing, communication and audience development. This involved:
- Full client briefing
- Design of three tailored training sessions
- Delivery of participatory, creative training with key members of staff.

Museum Development Northwest’s Knowing Your Audiences professional development programme has supported museum staff across the region for several years. A regular trainer on the scheme, I’ve previously designed and delivered a suite of workshops focused on the following topics:
- Audience development
- Evaluation and research.
Funded by Scottish Book Trust, I was commissioned to deliver evaluation and monitoring training to five library services across Scotland, including Inverclyde Libraries. This formed part of a Digital Storytelling Residencies project and involved:
- Client needs analysis
- Bespoke training design
- Delivery of participatory, creative training session with key members of staff.
