Facilitation is about making a process easier.
I work with various teams to help them have a conversation, come to a consensus, or create a strategy.
- I’ve undertaken Group Facilitation Methods certified training with the ICA, accredited by the ILM.
- I’m a member of the International Association of Facilitators.
Clients tell me that they benefit from hiring an external facilitator as it enables them to concentrate on content whilst I take care of process.
‘Marge’s work has been instrumental to taking our Age Friendly work at Manchester Art Gallery forward. Marge ran an inspiring re-visioning day with us in Nov 15 for Age Friendly volunteers and gallery staff, which gave us a new energy and enthusiasm for our Age Friendly Thursday late event in 2016. She was highly skilled at taking a brief and developing an effective and creative approach to working with a broad range of people, helping us to develop a shared agenda. Marge has strong transferable facilitation skills and I would not hesitate in working with her in the future.’

Training can often be dull and even stressful.
So I also offer practical, creative workshop-style training in:
- Social media
- Marketing planning
- Visitor research.
All training is tailored to the particular requirements of my clients.
‘Marge is a joy to work with. Not only is she a great evaluator and marketer but also a fantastic trainer. She has delivered very effective workshops on marketing and audience development for our clients across the North West with great impact. The delegates and the MDNW team have gained a lot from her knowledge and have been able to apply it to working practice.’
Kaye Hardyman, Museum Development Officer, Museum Development Northwest
‘I’ve been lucky enough to receive some fantastic training as part of my museum traineeship at Preston Museums Group, and the marketing session with Marge was one of the best. There was a good balance of facts and figures, alongside practical activities that got us all thinking more about audiences and how best to utilise the huge amount of data that’s out there. As the marketing trainee, I feel the day-long session really stepped up my knowledge on current practice and I’ve definitely been able to put what I learned into practice in my role.’
