Formal and informal learning audit

I often come across organisations who manage to hide stashes of completed (but not analysed) questionnaires away on desks, shelves, into drawers etc. There’s absolutely no point taking the time to conduct them if you’ve not got a plan in place for what to do with them afterwards. Unfortunately it’s often research analysis and dissemination that falls to the bottom of the jobs pile, particularly if it’s not your main role. The Harris Museum & Art Gallery’s education team asked me to audit their education research programme to ensure their system was streamlined and efficient, but also realistic for them to achieve. I redrafted their quantitative research tools and advised on further development opportunities for audience research specifically with education providers and teachers.

Here’s what the Harris said about me:

‘Marge is adept at identifying the core elements of a brief and identifying, with the client, the best way to go about a project. Her work is unmistakably top quality and deadlines, even tight ones, are always met. She adds the ability of combining the professionalism of a client-consultant relationship with vital elements of team work and co-operation.’
Ronan Brindley, Programmes Manager, Harris Museum & Art Gallery (Ronan is now Principal Manager: Education at Manchester Art Gallery)
