Production of a marketing strategy for the northeast and northwest projects for Artist’s taking the Lead.

Artist’s taking the Lead was a London 2012 Cultural Olympiad project led by Arts Council England. It involved 12 public art commissions across the country, one in each region.

My role involved close consultation with the commissioned artists as well as numerous partners and stakeholders. In the northeast, I wrote the strategy for flow, a floating, self-powered structure based on a traditional “Shipmill”. Flow was situated on the River Tyne at Newcastle Gateshead’s quayside during 2012.
